RESINX POLICIES

Terms of use

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and to purchases and quotes from ResinX. By using the site, placing an order or accepting a quote you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or other law that cannot be limited by agreement.

ResinX (Pty) Ltd, Libra Close, Brackenfell Industrial, Cape Town, South Africa. Registration number, VAT number and directors will be published here shortly.

Prices are shown in South African rand and include VAT. You may review your full order, correct errors, and accept or reject it before you pay.

2. Our products

We supply composite materials, including resins, gelcoats, catalysts, solvents and related chemicals. Many are flammable, corrosive, irritant or otherwise hazardous, and are intended for people who are trained and equipped to handle them. Product information on this site is general. The product’s label, technical data sheet and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) are the authoritative sources. Images are illustrative where marked.

3. Health, safety and responsibilities of the buyer

  • Read the label and the SDS before use. You can ask us for an SDS at hello@resinx.co.za.
  • Use suitable personal protective equipment, ventilation and procedures. Keep ignition sources away from flammable products.
  • Never mix or store incompatible products together. In particular, keep catalysts (organic peroxides) separate from accelerators, and follow the label for mixing ratios.
  • Store, transport and dispose of products in line with the label, the SDS and applicable law.
  • Confirm that a product is suitable for your application and that you are legally permitted to buy and use it.

We may decline or cancel an order, or ask for more information, if we believe a product would be used unsafely, unlawfully or for an unsuitable purpose.

4. Ordering online

  1. Products shown with an online price can be added to the cart.
  2. You enter your details and pay through secure online payment in our Shopify-hosted checkout.
  3. When you complete payment you receive an order confirmation by email. That confirmation is our acceptance of your order, subject to section 6.

Please check your order, delivery address and contact details before paying.

5. Quotes and larger packs

Larger packs, and products supplied on request, are sold on quote, because flammable and hazardous goods need delivery arranged for each order.

  1. Add products to your quote list and submit the quote form.
  2. We reply by email or phone with the price (including VAT), availability and delivery arrangements.
  3. A quote is valid for 72 hours unless it says otherwise. A contract is formed when you accept the quote and we confirm the order.
  4. Quoted orders are payable on acceptance of the quote.

Submitting a quote request does not oblige you to buy or us to sell.

6. Prices, VAT and availability

  • All prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout or in your quote.
  • Stock shown on the site is a guide. If a product is unavailable, or a price was clearly displayed in error, we will tell you promptly and either refund any payment in full or offer an alternative that you are free to decline.
  • Prices may change at any time, but a change does not affect an order already accepted.

7. Payment

Online payment is made as secure online payment through our checkout. We do not see or store your full card details. Your order is not accepted until payment is successfully authorised.

8. Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection are covered in our Shipping policy. You can collect from Brackenfell, George, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Johannesburg, or have your order delivered. Because many products are hazardous, delivery is subject to the carrier’s rules.

9. Risk and ownership

  • Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to your delivery address, or when you or your carrier collect them from us, unless the law provides otherwise.
  • Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received full payment.
  • Inspect goods on delivery and tell us at once about damage or shortages.

10. Returns, refunds and defective goods

See our Returns policy. Your rights under the CPA, including the right to goods of good quality (sections 55 and 56), and your rights under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), are not affected by these terms.

11. Warranty and liability

  • Goods must be of good quality, in good working order, free of defects, and fit for the purposes for which they are generally intended. If goods are defective you may, within six months of delivery, return them and choose a repair, replacement or refund, as the CPA provides.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse, failure to follow the label, SDS or instructions, unsuitable storage or handling, or use for a purpose we were not told about, to the extent the law allows.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the CPA or other law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

12. Website use and intellectual property

All content on this site (text, images, logos and layout) belongs to ResinX or its licensors. You may view and print it for your own use. You may not copy, scrape or reuse it commercially without our written permission. You must not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it or gain unauthorised access. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for them.

13. Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place your order apply to that order.

15. Complaints and governing law

To make a complaint, email hello@resinx.co.za or call +27 (0)21 981 1440. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer it to the National Consumer Commission, the relevant consumer ombud, or the courts. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
