The Wrong Solvent at the Wrong Stage Costs a Part
Solvents are a critical but frequently under-specified part of the composite workflow. Using the wrong solvent on a composite surface before bonding, or contaminating a mould cavity before lamination, causes adhesion failure, surface defects, and compromised interlaminar bonds — problems that often only appear after the part is in service.
